First Haircut

Max had his first haircut on Sunday. Now hopefully he won't be called a girl and his cousin can't put a ponytail in his hair.
He was pretty good while getting it done. He squirmed a lot but didn't cry or scream and the hairdresser managed to get a good cut. We didn't take off too much so that we could save the curls. I highly recommend Snip Its, a place just for kids. It was great.

Spring fun

We took Max to Hoffman's Playland for the first time. He wasn't really into the rides that much but liked the train. He also loved the ice cream treat after the rides.

I guess he's going to be a tree climber.

Doesn't he look great in Ashley's sun glasses. He loves to be on the swing at Deer Run.

He likes to ride in the wagon but he prefers to push it himself.

17 Months

I'm very late in posting this but here are Max's 17 month pictures. I got a little side tracked from posting this since we spent the week of Max's 17 month birthday going back and forth in the doctor, checking his temperature and then ending up in the hospital. Max had a virus that made him have a very high fever (104.5) and then a few days later his temperature was down to 94.5. We called the pediatrician and she told us to get him to the ER since a low temp could be something serious. When we got the ER, the doctors weren't very concerned because he seemed fine and had no other symptoms except for a rash. That's when they determined he had a virus similar to roseola but that had run its course.Because of his low temp, small size, and no teeth, our pediatrician wanted him to be observed and seen by some specialists to make sure there was nothing more going on with him. In he hospital he had an MRI to check the pituitary gland and his brain. All was normal. He also had a blood test to check for a growth hormone or cortisol deficiency. Those test came back normal too. After the hospital we had him seen by a dentist where he had an xray done....turns out he has a mouth full of teeth just waiting to erupt. Now we just have to meet with a geneticist but so far it is likely that nothing is wrong and that he's just late getting his teeth and small. We may never know why he had a low body temperature. What a very exhausting week but things are much better now.
