Static Electricity

Gotta love static electricity in the winter.

Have truck, will travel!

Max is very close to walking. Over the last few days he started to let go of whatever he was holding on to while standing. Then this morning he started walking when he was behind (or on the side of) his Megablock dump truck. At one point he also walked a few steps while holding onto his walking toy with only one hand.

Max's First Snow

Unlike the DC area, Albany hasn't had much snow at all this year. Yesterday we final got a good amount so I took Max out to see it tonight. It was close to dark so we couldn't stay out too long. That was just as well because the excursion ended when Max did a face plant into the snow.

Big Appetite

Max loves to eat and he can't get enough.

13 Months

Max is 13 months old and still a very happy baby. He's doing great. He now says bye bye and waves and says ball. He's starting to get a little separation issues. For the last few days he's been crawling over to us and want to be picked up when we leave him at daycare. Of course once we leave he's just fine. He's not walking yet but we're in no hurry for that. He's still the toothless wonder but that hasn't stopped him from eating like an animal - see example below. He's just started getting the hang of the sippy cup.

Having Fun

Daddy loves to make Max wear old man pants.

Max putting on a show for his friends.

Cousin Alexa reads Max his favorite book - I See a Monster. It's an autographed copy from Denise. She knows the illustrator.

This is his favorite thing to do...he takes one thing in each hand and then he crawls across the floor, usually the hardwood, clomping all the way.

What a devilish grin. And that tongue.....

New Eating Habits

There was a couple of weeks when we couldn't find any food Max would eat for dinner. Then we went out for dinner with Meme, Papa and Nanny and we discovered that Max has good taste in food. Papa had pork osso bucco and gave Max a taste. He continued to eat and eat it. Then the next day he had the leftover pork and this time I gave him the risotto too and he devoured it. Since then we've figured out that he just doesn't like the baby food and wants to feed himself only. He eats like a mad man now. Look how happy he is with the big pork bone. Yummy!!!

Aunt Karen also decided he had to try some ice cream cake. He really didn't do more than put his hands in it and squish it. He seems to love doughnuts though.
