A giggling little boy

Max loves to giggle. I happened to have my phone handy one morning when I was putting him in his car seat and he started to giggle.

More New Things

Max tried out his Bumbo chair today. He looks so small but he does well sitting in it. He's pretty good at holding his head up now. We'll try feeding him in it tomorrow. Tonight he wasn't too into cereal.

He loves his crib toy. It is an aquarium that lights up and plays music. The fish even move inside. He likes to watch it.

Last weekend we spent the night at my parents camp. It took him awhile to fall asleep but he did great after that. I think we'll turn him into a camping boy soon. It was a beautiful weekend. He's another golf cart baby too....he fell right asleep after being on it for only a few minutes. Unfortunately, we forgot the camera so we didn't get any pictures of the weekend.

1st Cereal

Max had his first cereal last Saturday. At first he definitely didn't know what to do with it and didn't seem to like it but now.....stop feeding him and you'll know how much he likes it. He ate a ton tonight and loved it. He's definitely going to be a good eater.

Max's Christening and Marcy's 1st Mothers Day

We had Max baptized last weekend....on Mother's Day! It was the perfect way to spend my 1st Mother's Day. The service was really nice. Except for the socks, Max wore Roger's christening outfit which was also worn by all five of his nieces and nephews. Check out the socks. Father Ed incorporated Max into the whole mass and Max didn't even cry when the water hit his head. Max's godparents are his cousins Jason (Marcy's nephew) and Brianne (Roger's niece). Everyone came back to our house for a barbecue. The day was beautiful.

Four Months Old

Max is four months old now and he's growing like a weed....finally on the charts. He's 11 lb 9.5 oz and 23 inches. The doctor is very pleased with his growth and development. He also said that we have a beautiful baby.....I don't think he tells ever parent that either!! Max and mommy both did well with the shots this time. I didn't cry at all this time and Max didn't cry until after the 2nd shot. He only cried for a minute. He didn't have any reactions to the shots except for a mild fever last night and he slept all day and wanted mommy to hold him when he wasn't sleeping. We can start Max on solids now, and no Meme, that doesn't include mashed potatoes and gravy. We'll probably start that adventure in the next week or so. Max has been giggling a lot. On Thursday, he let out a really loud and animated giggle that was so cute. He's done it a few more times too and daddy got to hear him.
Max met a few new family members last night. We went to visit Aunt Holly and Uncle Bill. He loved being in Aunt Holly's arms. He was very fussy and wouldn't let anyone else hold him but Aunt Holly kept him happy. Also Max's cousins Jason (Marcy's brothers son) and his new wife Dana came in from Florida for Max's baptism on Sunday. They got to the house around 11:30 and immediately wanted to see Max. Luckily for them just as we walked in the room Max opened his eyes. Of course, I'm sure he would have went right back to sleep but before Max could even think about it Jason had him in his arms.

Sleep overs, bathtime and more....

Max had his first sleep over....it wasn't exactly planned but it happened and we survived. On Friday Max was at Aunt Tammy's house while mommy and daddy went to dinner with Denise. While we were at dinner we got a call that Nanny was being taken to the hospital because she fell. She was fine but they wanted to do a cat scan just to be safe. So we planned on picking Max up when we were done but since we ended up being there until 3 am, we decided it was probably best for him to stay at Aunt Tammy's. I cried when I called Aunt Tammy to tell her and I really didn't want to do let him stay just yet. Of course he was in good hands and was well cared for. He even bonded with Uncle Erik...that doesn't happen often because no one else in the family lets him have Max for longer than 5 mintues. When we went to pick him up the next morning he was happy and being entertained by his cousin Ashley singing "Who Let the Dogs Out." He loved that song. I guess they also taught him "Baby Got Back" too. Not sure overnights at Aunt Tammy's are in his future after that.

Max loves his bathtime...

Max is sure to find his thumb or finger very soon....
