Max ate carrots for the first time tonight....he seemed to like them. And wore them very well too.

Last weekend we visited with Aunt Susann and cousins Danny and Brian. Max also got to meet Unlce Sean.
Some of Max's toys - the musical duck, stuffed giraffe rattle and Benny, the crazy licking dog that was just his size.

Five Months Old

Max is getting so big. He's probably about 13 lbs by now. He's eating cereal and loving it. He's talking up a storm and giggles like crazy. He's found his fingers and love to suck them, especially his left index and middle fingers, sometimes he'll get the left thumb in his mouth instead. He still loves to be swaddled.

He is such a good baby. He sleeps for 11-12 hours a night. On our flights to and from Florida last weekend he didn't fuss at all and he wasn't bothered when he was passed from person to person at the graduation party. Also, last night we spent 2 hours at the mall taking and deciding on pictures of all of Papa's grandchildren for fathers day (see Yankee pic above), even stayed way past his bedtime, and he didn't get upset at all. When he does get upset, just take him for a walk or wrap him up and he calms right down.

Max's First Vacation

We went to Florida to visit my brother and his family for my neices high school graduation. We were very nervous about the flight but Max did great. Luckily there were plenty of empty seats on our non-stop flight to Fort Lauderdale. He ate while we were taking off and then slept most of the way on both flights.

Clockwise rom top left corner: Uncle Glen and Max at the graduation; cousins--Amanda (the graduate), Jason and Max; Aunt Doreen and Uncle Glen with Max; Jason and his wife Dana with Max; Amanda and Max with Jason and Dana looking on; Uncle Glen playing with Max.
Max is learning how to drive. Aunt Doreen and Uncle Glen had a cool toy at their house that Max loved. He got to turn the wheel, beep the horn and shift the gears.
Max took his first dip in the pool. He loved the oversized bathtub and the floating duckies too. Although the weather was pretty bad all weekend, we were able to swim for a little while.
We didn't have a baby tub at Uncle Glens so the sink had to do. Note--babies are slippery when wet.
On the way back to the airport, we got to visit my best friend from college--Jamaican Jill (yes, she's from Jamaica.) She lives in Boca Raton with her husband Paul and their five... yes five, children. Pictured: Alexander (15), Courtney (13), Jacob (8) and Zachary (6). Joey, who is 17, wasn't there. Jacob and Zachary were making Max giggle playing peek-a-boo and they may have gotten Max excited to collect Webkins.
